Helping keep your dog in good condition between grooms

How you care for your dog's coat between grooming appointments can mean the difference between a comfortable and uncomfortable groom for both the dog and your groomer. We are always happy to discuss your dog's individual grooming requirements especially with dogs prone to matting like Bichon Frise, Poodle, Shih Tzu, Lhasa Apso, Maltese and of course the larger long coated dogs like the Old English Sheep Dog.

My Favourite Pet Shop at 119 Park Crescent stocks everything you need to keep your pet in good condition, simply ask your groomer what they recommend and pop next door to make your purchase.

Brushes, Combs and Rakes
Tear Staining

Having the correct brush is crucial to your dog's grooming.  We offer a free advice service to ensure you buy the correct equipment.  All products are available at My Favourite Pet Shop which is next door to the salon.

Ears & Teeth

Caring for your dogs ears and teeth is so important.  Very often a smelly dog can be suffering with bad ears as it is the ear that is causing the smell.  We ensure that all hair is removed from inside the ear (dog permitting) Although we do not treat teeth, we can recommend treatments that may help with plaque.

Tear staining is a nuisance, we are able to provide you with a treatment that used daily should help reduce tear staining.

Shampoos & Fragrances

If you are bathing or freshening up  your dog between appointments ensure you use the correct product so that you do not damage the coat or affect the skin of your dog.  Fragrances too are a great help to  keep those doggie smells away.  Please be aware though that the products must be safe to use on animals, some products sold at discount stores may cause skin problems. My Favourite Pet Shop stocks an excellent selection of all quality products
